Memory Lake requires an account and uses passwordless email OTP sign-in.
What we collect and why
- Email address to create your account and deliver sign-in codes.
- Memories, records, templates, and settings you create to store, sync, and display your data.
- Authentication tokens and encryption keys stored on your device to keep you signed in and protect local storage.
- Network reachability checks to decide when to sync.
Security
Local data is stored in an encrypted database with keys stored in secure storage on device. Without the device key, local files are unreadable.
Encrypted cloud memories
The app supports encrypted cloud memories using a master key stored on the device and a per-memory key sent with requests when encryption is enabled. User-provided key provisioning is planned; this statement will be updated when it ships.
Logs
We do not collect or transmit app logs. Logs stay on device and are only shared if you explicitly export them.
Sharing
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising or marketing.
Delete your account
Account deletion is only available inside the Memory Lake app. Deletion is available only through the app after you verify your identity.
