Memory Lake

How It Works

A shadow-writer that turns scattered thoughts into polished documents.

Memory Lake was created to free you from formatting, grammar, and the burden of holding an entire roadmap in your mind. Instead of planning every paragraph in advance, you simply feed the system new information, spoken notes, half-formed ideas, stray facts, and let Memory Lake weave them into a coherent, well-structured document that sounds like you, only clearer.

Templates

At the heart of Memory Lake are templates: sets of instructions that tell the system how to write, merge new information, and format the final document. Every memory carries its own underlying template, so the system always knows how to add fresh material to that specific document. You can swap the template at any time, and the memory will instantly reshape itself to match the new rules. This is a powerful feature, because the final formatting is not fixed in stone; instead, the building blocks of the memory, its records, remain flexible and adaptable.

Records

Each memory preserves every addition as a record, the raw text you send, like a text message. These records are never altered; they are the immutable foundation the system uses to assemble the final document according to the template’s instructions. You can delete, copy, or move records between memories, ensuring complete control over your material.

Privacy & Security

Privacy is a shared responsibility between you and Memory Lake. The app does not ask for blind trust; instead, it enforces privacy and security with quantum-resistant cryptography. A 24-word key known only to you encrypts every memory. Without that key, no one, not even the developers, can retrieve your data.

Cloud Sync & Multi-Device Access

Memory Lake is a cloud-powered application, unlocking powerful text processing and seamless synchronization across all your devices. It runs natively on Apple, Windows, Android, and Linux, so you’re never locked to a single vendor. Your memories belong exclusively to you; there are no ransom-style subscriptions, and you can always access your data. When you send a record to a memory, you don’t have to wait for the document to update. As soon as you see the spinner in the top-left corner, you can close the app. The next time you open Memory Lake on any device, your record will already be inside the memory, like magic.

Versions

Whenever you change a template or remove a record, Memory Lake automatically creates a new version of the memory. This means you can always revert to a previous version if the latest changes don’t feel right.

Manual Editing

You can always open a memory and edit it the traditional way, write paragraphs, add headers, rearrange sections. Once you save, Memory Lake treats your edits as the new baseline and continues building from there, honoring your vision while still folding in future additions.
